Thank you for your willingness to help us out.
We are approved for domestic adoption and are excitedly preparing ourselves for the life changing event. To get to this point we selected a local adoption agency, filled out the necessary paperwork, attended classes, and completed our home study with a social worker. The next step is to connect with someone who is looking to make an adoption plan for their child. This is where you can help.
So what are we asking you to do? If you know or hear of anyone who is thinking about making an adoption plan for their child, please think of us and call us or forward our contact information.
We know that it is already a lot to ask and we are thankful to you for doing this. Some people have asked us what else they can do to help. If you are comfortable doing even more, here are a few ideas:
Adoption (business) cards: We’ve created business cards and would be happy to get you some so you can share them with people or place them in community spaces in your neighborhood (like a community board at your local coffee shop)
Distribute our adoption profile: We’ve created a physical profile book primarily meant to be shared with people considering placing their child for adoption. If you know of anyone in this position, ask us for the book and we’d be happy to get you one.
Follow our blog: We’ve created a blog on this website where we will share our journey as we go along. Follow it by entering your email address at the bottom of the page and hitting the “subscribe” button to stay up-to-date on what’s going on, and share new posts with others.
Leverage social media: We’ve created this website to give people insight into our lives and our journey so far, so feel free to share it with family and friends! Post it however you’d like, but if you don’t know what to say, we recommend:
Did you know that 135,000 children are adopted in the United States each year? Our friends Shane and Kim Jacksteit are approved for domestic adoption and are excitedly preparing themselves for this life changing event. The next step is for them is to connect with someone who is looking to make an adoption plan for their child. Please share this to spread the word.
